Rise Above Traveling Exhibit

The Rise Above traveling exhibit strives to educate people on the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen; America’s first black military pilots and their crewmen. While most Tuskegee Airmen had no college education or flying experience, they did have dedication and understood the value of hard work. The goal of the Rise Above traveling exhibit is to teach the six principles that all Tuskegee Airmen share: aim high, believe in yourself, never quit, be ready to go, use your brain, and expect to win.

The exhibit features a 180 degree movie theatre, and crowds will be able to view an inspirational film that highlights the Tuskegee Airmen, US Army Air Corps pilots and their supporters. The exhibit will also feature a P-51C Mustang, one of four of its kind still in flight today.  Experience what it was like to fly one of these one-of-a-kind aircraft while learning about a pivotal piece of our nation’s military history.
